Holiday Memory

What a great way to make my first blog entry centered around the topic of Christmas with Christmas just around the corner. Before I got married and had children of my own, back when I was just a young little shit where I didn't have to have the responsibility's of being an adult, back when life was simple. The one time of year I looked forward to every year was Christmas time where the holidays was spent with family and friends, we would all pile into grandmas house where she always had something cooking, all the snacks you could ask for sitting around the house, under the Christmas tree  was full of presents and instead of your average Christmas tree ornaments was crisp new $100 dollar bills for everyone. The tree stood in front of a giant window with a lake view, the view outside was remarkable with snow and a frozen lake that you could walk across. There was always lots to do at Grandma and Grandpas house during the holidays, my brother would be out riding the snowmobile, the adult family members would be sitting around drinking coffee and visiting, you would typically find me out in Grandpas shop helping Grandpa with one of his many woodworking projects, Grandma would be in and out of the pantry sneaking a drink, by the end of Christmas Grandma would be drunk but still managed to always whip up a fantastic Christmas dinner, it was many many years later why Grandma was always in and out of the pantry and that was to get shit faced.

Christmas time at the Grandparents was always just the greatest, that's when my family was a family, now thirty years old I have a family of my own with wonderful wife and my handsome 19 month old son Chayce and my awesome 1 month old son Mason.

Looking forward to many new holiday memories to make of my own.
By the way, welcome to my new blog, my goal for this blog is to blog about a different topic everyday to share with the ones that care to read.
